well, i upgraded from the 175s to 250s so i could run those 250w 12K reeflux bulbs i accidentally got- i ordered 175s but got 250s, i know i could have sent them back but i kinda wanted to bump up anyway.
i was hoping to hold onto the 175w setup so i could go back to it when i got tired of blue and wanted to go back to daylight, but i gotta sell it to justify spending what i did on the 250s.
i already sold 2 of them, so i have 2 more to sell. $80 each. they are just less than a year old (got them new in january) but the date sticker on the back has them as a year older than that from sitting on a shelf somewhere. i can dig up the invoice so you have a younger proof of age if you need any warranty work on them in the future.
i also have 2 (and maybe all 4) of the 175w iwasaki14K bulbs i was running on them. they are only 8 months old and still look fantastic and bright. i'd say they still have plenty of life in them, we can negotiate a fair price if you are interested in them as well. sps and some zoos look really good under these bulbs, but i'd want actinics or something bluer if you were going to put them over a zoo/lps dominated tank though.
i have no problem with letting anyone try them out for a week or two before deciding. and i'm sure i'll toss in a fair amount of frags to sweeten the deal (probably enough to be worth more than the lights themselves)....
this is them no actinics or edits, straight out of the camera and resized. they do look brighter in real life.
and here's a really bad pic of what they looked like brand new over my 50 back then, you can see they haven't changed much. same auto camera settings, just film algae on the glass making it fuzzy.
