FS: 2 250w Reef optix 3 pendants, 2 phoenix 14k DE bulbs

I'm going to be switching to the Lumen max 2s this week sometime hopefully and will have my ROIII (bought from Gcarroll) and a couple used phoenix 14k 250 watt bulbs for sale. The bulbs are approx 2.5 and 4.5 months old, I did buy them from a fellow reefer, but i've only used them for actually 1.5 months at 6 hours a day so they still have some life to them.

65 per pendant
30 for the 3 month old bulb
20 for the 5 months old bulb

So what bulb are you planning on using Ying? I am intreted in how well your set up looks like since I am also thinking of using a single LM2 but not sure yet.

hey mario, i was thinking of using a 10k XM. I know Greg said it would look yellowish, but i PMed a couple people using 10k XM 250 SE and asked them which ballasts they used because they had pics of their tanks and they all had icecap e ballasts so i thought I might as well give it a try. You're welcome to stop by after i get it setup hopefully on tuesday.

all their tanks looked a nice crisp white with some supplementation.

I've used the 10k XM before they are awsome. I think I had my best color and growth when I had the 10k xm I was running them on a mag ballast at first and they where realy bright and pure white. Then when I ran them on the HQI they wheren't as white but where alot brighter. I sometime wish I'd never gotten rid of my old 250 set up but then I look at what the LM3 are doing and say wow.

i'm hoping that with the VHO supplementation i'll get some good coloration. i mainly wanted the 115 par that sanjay shows. i think with the LM2's i'll get a pretty good light distribution. We'll see tomorrow though haha. can't wait... corals should like it. What ballast are you running right now?

i wanted to go HQI but with increasing electricity costs and shortening bulb life, i just went with the e ballast. we'll see how they do with the XM.

Any reason why you going from De to SE?

with the ballast i have, i would get almost double the intensity by going with the XM 10k SE.

Can you explain this a little? I'm sorry for all this questions, I would be buying a light set-up soon for my 75 gal. cube.
