I also wanted to ask...

Well I never had a calcium reactor and heard lots of great things It can do for a tank...But It looks so daugnting and scary to even try to touch one and set it up...

Isn't kind of dangerous to even have CO2 tanks in your house and all...

I would really like to get one...But, Iam not rest assured about the reliablity and safety of having one in my house since i have sibblings running around...

Are they hard to maintain and what do you do if you need more CO2
for the tanks and all

Calc Reactors are easy to set up and maintain, IMO. I don't think the CO2 bottles are any more dangerous than anything else we have in our homes, and are alot less "lethal" if they leak (not like there is enough CO2 in the smaller ones to affect anyone's breathing, even in a smaller room/area. They are super easy to get refilled, just as the reactor media is easy to come by. Any LFS or online store can set you up with the media and the CO2 can be refilled at any welding or gas/air shop (I read in another thread in this forum that there is a shop right near the your reef store I think ?).
