FS: 36" 442watt. 250MH+96+96w flos

I just bought off ebay a 36" light fixture. It has one 250 MH and 2 96w actinic flo's. 442 watt total. Also has built in fan and 8 lunar led's. The only reason I am selling it is because of the shadow cast over my center brace. I will have to get a fixture with 2 metal halides. Its new, just put up today so let me know if you are interesed. $225

You could use thinner metal brace in place of the plastic center brace like the tanks at Salty Critter. But you'd have to drop the water level a tad to bring bowing or deflection down and cut the old brace out and put in the metal one. You'd need to make sure that you could mount it solid and that you had the water low enough to not put pressure on the lengthwise sides. But it could be done if you were careful.
If the tank was not in warranty it would be a no brainer. Get to keep your current lights if you changed out the brace system. That is of course if you are handy with tools and comfortable taking the chance.
