For sale is a 400 watt 10k metal halide reef tank light with a home made fixture. I made this for my 55 gallon tank, but it was way too hot sitting on the tank rim. The body of the fixture is made of 1/4 lexan with a stainless reflector.
The fixture is 12 inches wide x 26 inches long x 7 inches high with a 7 foot cord from the light to the portable ballast, and the cord that plugs in is 12 feet long from the ballast.
I have about 4 weeks running time on the lamp. Like I said the light was way too hot for my 55 sitting on the aquarium and I (my wife) didn't want to hang the thing over the tank.
I'm asking $100 ( looking for X-mas money)
