FS: 55 gallon saltwater aquarium

I hate to do this, but I just don't have the time to take care of 2 saltwater aquariums so one must go! I have over $700 invested in this tank and would like to get $500, but I will entertain any reasonable offers! The only thing you will need for this tank is fresh saltwater and fish! You might want to replace the hood and light on it, but it is functional as it is. The fish in the picture are not included!

I will list each item included with the tank.

1. 55 gallon tank trimmed in oak (no leaks or problems)
2. custom built stand in antiqued ivory (made to last with 2x4's and plywood and than finished with stainable plywood) This cost over $100 to build!
3. 40-50 pounds of live rock, lots of coralline algae growing and some very neat looking tonga branching pieces! Fully cured and ready to go!
4. 2 inch live sand bed crawling with lots of life
5. 200 watt visitherm submersible heater (only about 5 months old)
6. 2 azoo 1200 power heads (move 300 GPH each)
7. Penn Plax Cascade 700 canister filter (was $100 alone, moves 185 GPH)
8. Won Bros. Cu075 protein skimmer with a Sen 300 pump (moves 300 GPH)
9. Black plastic hood and lights (It doesn't fit well on this tank, but it will do the job, it came off our other tank) The lights are just standard 15 watt bulbs, one is a 10,000K and the other is a 50/50

I will keep the tank running until this is sold so that the rock and sand remain alive!

Make me an offer on the whole setup as I don't want to part it out at this time. This is a great tank for predatory fish since there is no corals in it (that was my plan with this tank!)

Tank price lowered!

Tank price lowered!

I am lowering the price of the tank and all the equipment to $350! I really need to move this tank out of here because I just don't have the time to devout to a second tank! Plus my husband wants the space for something else in our bedroom!

Make me an offer!

Ok, I am lowering the price again to $300. That is less than half of what I have invested in this tank! The rock alone cost more than that and it is now fully cured in my tank.

Even if you just take it for the rock and sand bed, you could use the 55 gallon tank for a sump or grow out tank! Ray don't need need another SPS frag tank? I will buy your light from you as my tank light downstairs is on the fritz!

Someone please make me an offer, I can't just give this away, but it would make a really nice tank for someone.

parting out tank

parting out tank

Ok, no one seems to want this as a whole, so I am going to price out each item and see if I can't get this moving. Kyle, Shayne, Michael, and Pat, I will give you first go at the rocks. I have taken them out and weighed them and there is exactly 64 pounds. I will split it in half if someone doesn't want it all, so first come first served!

1. 64 pounds of live rock with lots of coralline algae and 2 cool looking branching tonga rocks-$250 (that is less than $4 a pound and it is fully cured with coralline algae)
2. 2 inch sand bed (approximately 60 pounds)-$30
3. 2 azoo 1200 powerheads-$10
4. 1 200 watt heater-$15
5. Penn plax 700 canister filter-$40
6. Won Bros CU75 protein skimmer with Sen 300 pump-$30
7. 55 gallon tank with oak trim, custom built antiqued ivory colored stand, hood and lights-$50 (will even throw in sum old filters if someone wants to do a fresh water tank!)

Make me an offer on any of this, I need this emptied out so I can use the space in my bedroom!

Update on whats left

Update on whats left

Ok, just an update, the rocks, sand, heater, tank, stand and powerheads are spoken for. I still have the protein skimmer (which is perfect for a 55 gallon tank), and the canister filter which also worked very well for a 55 gallon saltwater tank.

Let me know if you are interested in either item!
Thanks,
Tina

Update

Everything is gone, but the protein skimmer and the canister filter. These both work great for a 55 gallon tank! The canister filter would also work great for a freshwater tank if anyone needs one. $70 for both, or $30 for the skimmer and $40 for the filter.

Anyone?

Still have the canister filter

Still have the canister filter

Everything else is gone, but the canister filter! Asking $40 for it which is a steal because it cost over $100 less than a year ago! This works great for a 55 gallon and can be used as fresh or saltwater. All you do is clean and change some of the media every 4 weeks or so.
