Acrylic tank, 36ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚x20ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚x20ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ (62 gallon) with rounded corners. This tank has a back filter (31"x4"x20") similar to what you find on nano tanks however it has also been drilled in the bottom to allow the back filter to be used as a large overflow. So the tank can be used with a sump/fuge in the stand or it can be used as a self-contained system with the filter in the back. The top of the tank has two openings that are 11 Ã"šÃ‚½Ã¢â"šÂ¬Ã‚x10 Ã"šÃ‚½Ã¢â"šÂ¬Ã‚ and a 6 Ã"šÃ‚½Ã¢â"šÂ¬Ã‚ center brace. Stand, 37 Ã"šÃ‚¾Ã¢â"šÂ¬Ã‚x21"x29 Ã"šÃ‚¼Ã¢â"šÂ¬Ã‚. The stand has an opening in the front that measures 26"x21" with two doors that measure 14"x21 Ã"šÃ‚½Ã¢â"šÂ¬Ã‚ each. $150

Hey Joe, do you know who makes it? The hinges on the top and the look of the fabrication look just like mine. I would like to know who made mine , I bought it used and they couldnt rememeber the brand.

Thanks Rich for the quick transaction, I hope the tank works out for you guys. Post some pics when you get the horses in there.

Ric, I not sure who made the tank and by the time I saw your post Rich had already picked it up, maybe Rich can take a look and see if there are any markings on it, I don't remember seeing any. I do know that someone had recognized the stand as being built by someone here in Denver so maybe the tank was built local also. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

The stand looks identical to one I bought for a 50gal FW planted tank from Sherman Tank 8 or 10 years ago. As I recall they had somebody locally doing custom stands and canopies...I was told 3 years ago (or so) that the guy had passed away.

If it is the same designer/maker, there's one thing you should probably do before setting it up. The bottom of the cabinet on mine is just 1/4" ply supported around the four edges. Even without a sump, mine sagged/warped somewhat from just the weight a cannister filter and O2 tank. You can add one or two center braces of 1" stock lumber or ply pretty easily to take the weight of a sump.
