FS: Acans/Micros need to be rescued from Butterflyfish!

After a tank crash about 3 years ago, I swore I was getting out of this hobby. I basically ignored my tank for two years, doing minimal maintenance every month or so, and maybe a 20% water change every six months. I recently scraped all the algae off the glass and discovered again the beauty of this hobby. Since I don't have as much time as I'd like to devote to the tank, I'm trying to make it as 'self maintaining' as possible -- e.g., tang, rabbitfish, algae blenny, & snails on algae duty; and a klein's butterflyfish on aptasia duty.

The butterflyfish has been amazing. However, it's also starting to eat my few remaining acans and micros. I'd like to find good homes for these, rather than using them to feed the butterflyfish!

I'm in Rochester and am open to reasonable offers on the corals below, as well as trades for brightly colored polyps/mushrooms/soft corals/chalices -- the butterflyfish hasn't been eating those. PM me if you're interested. For each coral, the first pic was taken this week with my iphone. The nicer pics were taken years ago and show what the colonies looked like under better conditions!

Thanks. Curt

1. $100 This one's really pretty under actinics:

When happy, it develops really large polyps for a micro

2. $100 Nice aussie acan colony -- nicer than most i've seen. Not as much grey around the edges. Bright orange/red under actinics.

Under the right conditions, it turns a light orange with almost creamy/white edges:

3. $75 Green aussie acan colony.

4. $50 chocolate chip micro

And, again, under better conditions!

holding blue/green micro for trade with Eric. Would be willing to discuss trades for other pieces.

i used to target feed my micros, acans, and chalices, which helped with growth, but wasn't so great for water quality. i don't have a sump, so i have to be careful. as i've started resuscitating my tank, i've target fed a little. i'm doing that less often recently because of additional fish/bioload -- and the fish just end up stealing the mysis anyway.
