I just replaced the Sedra pump earlier this year because I seized up the old one while dosing so it has very little run time. I also have the original lift tube if you don't want to use the gate valve.
Skimmer is 30" tall. The actual footprint is hard to measure, I had it in a 15"W x 15"L x 12"H compartment in my sump.
