fs: blue linkia

I have the linkia for over 5 months. He's been knocking over m frags so I'm looking to sell for $10.

I 'am wondering the same thing...I want to get a blue linkia since i never had one and I think my tank is well established to feed it's needs...

from arm to across the arm, I'd would venture a guess to say the linkia is 4-5"

When is a good time to pick it up? I think an evening would be best, but I am not sure about tonight. I will need to check with my wife first.

you should check up on them first first as I think that I read somewhere that 1 linkia is more than enough for a 30g tank, John. Any more and they could easily starve. I thought that I had read that 1 per 100g tank was enough, but really don't recall. Just make sure that you are going to be able to support the star, especially since it will grow rather large, given time.

Tom got me thinking I feel that the 100g could support two Blue Linkia stars, however I am about six weeks from starting to cycle my 100g. I had planed to wait six months minimum after the cycle was complete before I move the Blue Linkia from my 30g to my 100g, and Tom is right the 30g cannot support two Blue Linkia stars. I guess I just got a little trigger happy on this one.

I agree with Tom, I would prefer to sell the linkia to someone with a lot of live rocks to provide whatever food they are eating.

If Raymond does not want it, I can pick it up. I have a 150 gallon, tons of rock and a small purple linkia who seems to be doing fine for the last 3 months. (backup to the backup )

The word around the campfire is that we really don't know what they eat and it seems to be some "invisible" algae or a type of algae that we hadn't figured out yet. This is yet another example of things that we would like to keep, but just havn't figured out how to sustain them longterm......but through trial and error I imagine we will figure it out.

I have heard the same, lots of rock and a bigger tank.
