FS: Canon Digital SLR Rebel XT - 8.0 MP

Hello all,

I have a lightly used (black body) Rebel XT camera with the kit 18-55mm AF lens, battery charger, all software, instruction manuals, etc. for sale. It is in excellent condition.

I also have a practically new telephoto Canon 75-300 mm f/4-5.6 III EF lens to go with it.

I am asking $500 plus shipping for the camera with the 18-55 lens. I am asking $150 for the telephoto lens. If you buy both,
I will sell as a package for $600 plus shipping.

It takes excellent pictures. I upgraded to an XTI recently, therefore I am selling the XT.

I don't have any pictures of my camera/lens, but I'll take some and send them to you. In the meantime, here are stock pictures of them for reference. My camera/lenses look exactly the same.

I really can't comment on the XTi yet because I have barely used it. I'll be happy to PM you and let you know though once I've got some experience with it.

Yeah, I don't think you can go wrong with one.
I got mine at Ritz Cameras. They price-matched circuit city for $854 (the kit) and they have a special free $50 giftcard offer right now, which I used to buy a bigger CF card. Just FYI.

Did you know that there is a photography forum on RC. A camera is a very useful item on RC, as you will find that most threads are worthless without pics.

I hear you loud and clear and understand you very well.

I think it is just a matter of common sense. Digital camera is an integral part of this hobby that the site dedicated an entire forum for it.

Computers have been sold here and the mods have accepted it. Sell them in quantity then you'll run into problem. Your arguement can be far reaching. You can say we need our car to drive and buy saltwater stuff so we should be able to sell here. We need clothes to wear to go out so we shoud be able to sell here. We need shoes to wear to walk to the fish store so we should be able to sell shoes here.

I think the computer world has limited the use of one's brain. Just use your common sense and you'll figure out what you can sell and cannot sell on Reef Central.

I really don't understand why this thread botters you. It was clearly stated it the subject line: FS: Canon Digital SLR Rebel XT - 8.0 MP Be happy and don't look at it..... unless you were looking for a camera and didn't like the price :bum:

Exactly. If it bothers you, don't look at it. If you hadn't responded Kamilek, this thread would have gone away all by itself. Instead, you devote 1/10 th of your measly 50 posts on RC, including a tattletale message to the mods aking for "clarification" (yeah right ) on trying to give me a hard time. Thanks for the free bumps by the way.

Why don't you spend more energy on being a active, contributing member to this board in ways as you like to put it, "related to reefkeeping" instead of your policing of threads. I have, for quite a while now, so I think I just may be afforded the opportunity to try to offer something that is of interest to my fellow reefkeepers.

Gina said it best...some people have no life and are really that bored. These types of people generally enjoy ruining things for others and in the long run, unwittingly ruin things for themselves...
