LOL, good one.

No kidding.. I was just thinking how it was beginning to look a lot like nano-reef.com around here (price wise ) :)

I don't see any reason why a person should be chastized for selling the stuff. This is a very expensive hobby and there is nothing wrong with making a couple of bucks! If a person wants to give it away, thats nice too!

Agreed.... just dont bend anyone over for something that grows so fast... like chaeto and xenia. The going rate for pods is amazing also.

For those who havn't joined a club yet, the stuff mentioned above is really easy to come by. People love to share, at least in our club they do :)

DocDave: I am still trying to detemine if that expensive bottle of pods reallly contained anything other than water and I also have my suspicions over this issue of buying "live sand"! The opportunity for hokus-pokus in this hobby is real!

Hehe... no doubt. The same magic applies to the IT industry, picture framing shops, some electricians ($4300 to move my electical panel in my wall, when the wall is already open?? c'mon!) and the guy you see when you finance your car.

Buyer beware, join a club, educate yourself, get a second and third opinion, and only be taken once. DIY whenever possible, and use your contacts when its not possible (that electical job cost me nothing but a future favor).

The bottle are 24.99 drop it in your fuge at night and some on the rocks in the main display all at night. My tank is 3 months old and at night when I get a flashlight I have 3x what I dosed.

Get someone you know with a reef tank to take out a couple pieces of their live rock (main or sump) and shake/swish it in a bowl of tank water. Voila! Pods, snails, stars and worms galore.

Thats the point? How do really know how much or many were dosed when its difficult, if not impossible, to see or count whats in that little bottle of poddies? New avatar?
