FS: Clarkii pair

$40, first come, first serve. I live in Elk Grove.

I have what I was told is a mated pair of Clarkii. They came with a tank I bought about 3 months ago from a local leaving the area. I've seen eggs a few times, but cannot guarantee anything, as I'm not really sure what I'm looking for.

The previous owner had them from about 2 years and he said they laid eggs about every 2 weeks like clockwork. YMMV.

I bought 2 false percs for my corner tank and I'm getting ready to sell my 55 gallon, so these two need to find a new home. They currently live with a purple tang, chromi, coral beauty, mandarin and watchman goby. The female of the pair is arguably the most aggressive of the tank, but they all seem to get along fine.

The male is about 2" and the female is 3". The have been hosting in a RBTA anemone, not included. They'll need something similar on your end.

Diet consists of mysis, but I'm sure they'll eat anything.

They will be in my QT/Frag tank for a while while my daughter changes her tank around and gets a lawnmower blenny.

They are acclimating now, a little skittish from their 2 hour catching game and the long drive home. (They did get to see the light of day at Trader Joe's when the checker really, really wanted to see them. He's been thinking about setting up a tank. Maybe we'll see him at a meeting soon.)

Hopefully they will be a calm happy couple in the morning.

It was very nice spending time with your wife and daughter. Look forward to seeing you all at the next meeting. Very nice tank you have, by the way.

Thank you. I'm sure your daughter will enjoy them as we did. I know my tank is a cliche, but I've wanted a blue tang and pair of occelaris as long as I can remember and well before the animated movie of similar casting.

I'm sure we'll see you at the next meeting.

Lunch: She ventured out far enough to grab 2 small bits. I think she is getting more comfortable. She should be hungry enough by dinner time.

Awesome! I'm glad the move ultimately went smoothly. It sounds like she may have gotten quite spooked during the capture. Even thought I like my occelaris juveniles better, I had grown a little attached to the Clarkiis.
