As much as it pains me to do this, I have to sell my setup.

This is a completely custom designed & built AIO acrylic cube, stand & light.

The acrylic cube is 24x24x20, is a combination of 3/4 & 1" thick acrylic and made by Aquatica out in Grafton.

I've had this tank for about 7 years now and it's been nothing short of amazing.

It has all filtration, pumps and gravity fed water top off in the back chamber.

The stand was built as a piece of furniture by a local reefer name Sean and he was a master carpenter. The craftsmanship on this stand is second to none and is truly a piece of furniture. We used the highest quality wood we could to make this. It is super solid and will last generations. It comes with a drawer to for food, nets, misc things for easy access and also a cabinet underneath to house larger items, along with a DJ switch to control everything. It's stained/painted a dark coffee color.

Equipment:

The light is a 24" Coralife deluxe, 150w MH with 20k bulb, 4 T-5 bulbs (2 blue & 2 purple for the best results) and also 2 LEDs for night time viewing. It also suspended over the tank by a custom bent & painted metal pole

Tunze Nano skimmer
rotating mini flow valves with pumps in the bottom of each corner
Octo-flow valve so that the current alternates left & right

Live Stock:

50-60 lbs of very cured live rock along with all of the corals on it
Snail
Couple of emerald crabs
Royal Gramma
Clown
Green cynularia
lots of xenia
red mushrooms
Baby RBTA
Large frogspawn
hammer coral
Large GSP
Pink fiji sand

Price is firm at $2k

Pick up would be in Berea Ohio. Since this is a custom build I'm not breaking anything up.

Thanks for your time & PM me if interested. It is available ASAP.

This is truly a high end show piece and will blow you away in person!

Here are the most recent pics of it, I can get a few more that show it off a little better during the day.

Lol the age of the tank is irrelevant, last time I checked acrylic doesn't degrade - call around and ask for an acrylic tank made in these specs, the tank alone willl cost you $1200.

The light is easily $500 itself and the good luck getting a stand that isn't press board. This is solid wood and a piece of furniture. Not partical board like the rest of tank stands out there.

And softies or not, theres still hundreds of dollars in coral and rock.

And I'd put this tank up against either one of yours any day of the week and won't even be in the same league for quality & looks.

Not to mention the custom bent and painted pole...

Sent from Second star to the right*and straight on 'till morning"

Once again if like he to see your setup too and would put mine against it any day of the week.

Post pics of yours, let's see how sweet it is.

Age is relevant! Acrylic yellows and Becomes Brittle Over Time. Another inherent flaw of acrylic is its inability to stand up to UV light, and yellow over time. There are many plastic materials out there that claim to be "UV Resistant". That is exactly what it is, resistant, not UV proof. NO ACRYLIC IS UV PROOF. Over the long run there is no additive that can make plastic/acrylic stand up to UV light as long as glass. Eventually the elements will get to it. Think of an old faded billboard... likely that billboard was printed on UV resistant vinyl. It may have held off for 5 years instead of 6 months, but eventually it will fade and become brittle. When an acrylic aquarium starts to break down because of UV light either form the sun or from aquarium lights, it will turn yellow, become brittle, and can even crack and fail because of it. The more UV lights you have on your tank, or the closer it is to a window, the more accelerated this process will be.

I bought the same light for one of my frag tanks for $50 used on craiglist.

LOL Speaking of leagues....your not in my league agoutihead. I have SPS and LPS that are in my tanks that are worth 4x the value of your whole setup. Ex: I sold a bounce mushroom at the last swap for 1k and I have 4 more.

Remember agoutihead you painted a bulls eye on yourself for putting up a 7 year old 40 gal tank for 2k. SMH. Tanks depreciate they don't hold value like classic cars and firearms. I have been in the hobby for 15 years and at tops your setup is worth $600-700. I wish you the best in the sale of your tank...good luck!

Please show me where you bought a 24" marine land pro deluxe light for $50. Not happening.

My tank is as crystal clear and strong as it was the day I bought it. No yellowing, not brittle. But keep making assumptions because you sold a mushroom for 1k. Good for you!

I've been in this hobby 12 years. I know what stuff is worth and I don't have garbage. And for $700 I'd put this tank in my sons room and give it to him before I'd just give it away because someone likes to knock it or run their mouth.

And for the record I never said I had better/more expensive coral. I said I had a better looking setup. Post your tank, light and stand so we can see the quality of your setup.

The market value of what you have isn't determined by how much you think it's worth, it's determined by how much others are willing to pay for it.

Nobody is saying your stuff is crap, it's just a lot of money for a 40 gallon setup. You can tell everyone a big fat "I told you so" if it sells for that. GLWS.

If you get more then 700 you did good. Used reef tanks aren't worth half of what you paid. I'm selling my 2 year old dsa135 for 500 soon
