Used Euro Reef RC 180 with Eheim 1262 Re-circ pump upgrade.
The skimmer is about 1.5 years old and includes a Eheim 1048 or Mag 3 feed pump. $550.00

this can only be used in sump right?

Actually, this skimmer can be run in or out of the sump.

From ER's description:

The RC Series skimmers can be used in sump or externally and offer the best configuration of pump, body and cup to achieve the highest possible organic extraction per pass. In this design, the pump is mounted directly on to the body in a closed loop allowing the pump to draw water from the body, take in air, shred it and return it to the skimmer body at a point higher in the chamber where there is less back pressure on the pump.

I totally agree - this skimmer really sucks out the junk!
After dealing with their noisy sedra's, I bit the bullet and upgraded to the Eheim. It was worth every bit of the expense.

If only I had gone with a bigger sump........
