Invert Sexy Time!
My ballast died and now that I have my AWESOME MANTIS SHRIMP and plans to build him his 40G breeder paradise I don't think I'll use it again. I've been slowly buying panorama LED strips.
The bulb is only about a month old at most, about 6 hours a day. The 14G just got way to hot, then the cheapy ballast it had with it fried and my plans were already starting for my starphire custom 40.
I also have I believe 2 back up bulbs. One the older 5 month old 10k, and another I'm not sure on. The reflector does have the glass cover of course. I call it $50 bucks and I'll miss it dearly.
If I can get the aquaC remora then I can give up the little biocube bubble skimmer as well in trade.
Also, I am a computer engineer and have TONS of old to semi old parts lying around. I know I have a full working PC missing just a hard drive which I can find one to put in. It is a DELL AMD 62 X2 with 2G of ram. onboard video (cant take PCI-X) inspiron 531 with legit vista key. (no cd though sorry, can probably find one though Goes online USED/refurb for around $200. Asking 150 and I'll put a 500GB drive in it (compared to its default 180 or something)
I have a BRAND new window a/c unit. SAmsung, 6300 BTU. Can get details if you need. Pics around somewhere. Can send on request. Asking $80 or equal in trade stuff of course. It was on craigslist for 120 and got a lot of responses but work issues and car trouble got in my way. Will wait to respost.
I'd really like to just trade it across for something decent I need.

And AquaC Remora skimmer. My Mantis is in a temp home in the 14G and the freebie bubble biocube style one I got in another pay it forward from an AWESOME guy just does not skim well enough for his meaty death foods. (fiddler craps and large krill). I'll also need a proper skimmer for the 40 anyways so I can use it on that as well. I really like the remora I have on my kids 20 tall right now but it needs to stay there.
I could use another full spectrum (not atinic) PANORAMA LED strip. I have one full spectrum, and 2 atinics so one more full and I'll be done for lighting. Then I just need a hood or nice pendant built so I can focus them around the rocks I want SPS on, without light killing poor Mr. Googly. (That's the mantis name! HES CUTE DAMMIT. CUTE DEATH) (You would not be required to build the pendant, already have someone lined up for that)
I could use someone with GOOD wood working skills to build me a stand. I will/can buy the materials, it would be decently basic with some very simple brushed metal light plating as deco just to match my furniture. I need a stand BIGGER then a normal 40B stand as I need room on each side, LARGE sump space, and room to drill the piping for the sump I have now and still have the tank centered. I had most of of my tools stolen so that would be on you.
I need a stand for my KIDS 40B. It came from Anthrax and is already drilled center with overflow but I don't have a stand deep enough for it. It doesn't have to be super nice or anything, but if I can find them a properly sized 40B stand worth trading I can use the 90G black generic walmart looking stand I have now for my new 40 mantis tank.
I don't need any coral right now or fish as my kids tank had to take everything from my 14G crash that is now an underlit mantis tank. Lots of corals don't seem to do so well like SPS as their tank only has a 24" 2 bulb t5 setup.
I could also use a NICE sump. I picked up a cracked one from someone here ages ago who sealed it, and it has really awesome pipe work with silenceing slots, inside overflow teeth to not let fish get past the entrance pipe chamber which then goes into a nice sized cheato area. Teeth then stop it from going into the main 3 or 4 big chambers. So even though its cracked it's a nice one. Need one for my kids tank. Of course a simplier but decent sump/fuge will be fine for their tank if not trading for a high dollar item of course.
I will find more things as I have a giant pile of random fish stuff, from rubble to sand to a few large dry rocks, to old pumps and small mechanical filters. I just have to sort it. My work screwed up my check and it will be another week (and late rent + missed doctors) so I will take cash and general OBO on stuff if no one has things I need for my tanks.
I will also consider a hang on back skimmer that is as nice or nicer then the remora. I really like how it handles and skims. Even consider nice in sump design ones.
