Hi all,
I recently bought a green brittle star (Ophiarachna incrassata) without properly researching and finding that it is not suited for my tank. I have several small fish and small shrimp and this star is known to eat small fish and shrimps that hang around rocks.
He has not eaten anything at this point. I keep him fat and happy with silversides but I do not want to risk losing a chromis out of my school.
I have him in my refugium at this point. He is healthy and eats well. He is a great looking star.
I would like to see him in a tank where he can thrive and not have to be constantly watched. I have not seen any documented occasions where one harmed any coral.
If you are interested in this guy please let me know. I would like $15 or a trade of equal value.
For your information here is an article with a section on Ophiarachna incrassata. Scroll down a ways and you will see the image.
