FS: Large acropora

Hi y'all,

I would like to sell this acropora that I've had in my tank for two to three years. It is 6 inches across. It has nice purplish blue tips. It's a very healthy and sturdy acro. It likes a lot of light, but it does fine with moderate water flow. I am asking for $60.

I seriously need to make some space in my 120 since my SPS's are touching and fighting. This acropora is taking up a little too much place since I have two other acros that are very much like it.

That's a beautiful piece Tomoko. Can't believe you'd sell it for $60. You should let Harry have it for his frag selling venture but make him split the profits with you. He could probably get 100 frags out of it, and at $15 a pop, you guys would be splitting $1500.00 :eek2:

The thought actually crossed my mind, LOL.
An outfil like Live Aquaria charges $40 to $50 for an aquacultured acro frag that is barely an inch across. This one can make a bunch of those.

Its true frags online seem to be Really High. I'm so glad we have a decent sized club.. Half the stuff I have would have cost $$$$ online.

Btw Tomoko I have that birds nest in my frag tank. I figured I'd just break you off a good piece of it. I owe you for the couple frags I got from you the other day anyway. The green mili and purple digi look ridiculously good in my frag tank

Wow, thank you, Will. I can certainly house a small frag even though I am really running out of space in my 120.

Thank to the generosity of our club members and the regional frag swaps, I collected many nice frags . Now they are really getting too big for my tank. I wish I can get Will's 180. To put a 180 or a larger tank in my study, I need to have a stand, canopy and bookcases or cabinets built around the tank. If I can find a cabinet maker to build me these.....

In the mean time, I think I need to rearrange my rock work and SPS's to keep my SPS colonies from killing each other. I am seeing a few white branches now:eek2:. I just re aquascaped my tank last October when I had to catch two fish out of it .
