Price New: 189.99
My Price: 75.00, or coral/fish trades

Been sitting in my basement for months, in my garage prior. Bulb is practically brand new, 2-3 months of use. Bulbs run 70$ on Marine Depot but you may be able to shop around for a better price. Lifegard also has a 30 day warrantee on all bulbs you purchase so there's some peace of mind there. Has some PVC on the bottom (old connections) that need to be removed but otherwise in damn good shape.

I am willing to meet up at Puppy Center or Exotic Fish and Corals, or pickup at my place. PM me if interested.

The radiation from ultraviolet light at 2537 angstroms provided inside the Rainbow Lifegard/Pentair Aquatics Ultraviolet Sterilizer exerts a lethal effect on micro-organisms. UV light alters genetic material within the cells, which interrupts respiration. UV light, when used properly, is extremely beneficial in destroying disease causing pathogens as they pass through the unit. UV sterilization is an effective method of disease control.

Four major factors affect the percent kill of free-floating micro-organisms by UV radiation:

Size of organisms.
Radiation level.
The extent to which UV rays penetrate the water.
Contact time in which the micro-organism is exposed to the UV radiation.

Pure hard quartz material in the bulb dramatically increases UV output compared to other conventional bulbs of equal wattage.

Bulb changing is the easiest in the industry. Simply slide the old bulb out and slide the new bulb in. No need to shut down the filter system or turn off the pump. Bulb and ballast connect together with a single 4 pin connector. UV radiation levels can be increased by slowing down the flow rate or increasing the total wattage in the system.

Just to confirm, do you have a working bulb and the quartz sleeve the bulb goes into? Also what kind of corals are you looking for? Sending PM now as well.

A few bites but no replies after the initial PM. Mint condition UV sterilizer. Anyone? It's rotting in my basement and I know somebody around here could use it. I will also trade for coral, koralia powerheads, or a cheap controller. To be honest any offer will be entertained.
