FS : Neon birdsnest frags

While trapping out our various fish I accidentally fragged our neon birdsnest. There are 3 frags, two approximately 1 - 1/2" and 1 less than an inch. From experience I can say that these will grow fast. Our origianl frag was pretty small and we now have 2 colonies, one baseball sized and one softball sized.

The two larger are $15 and the one smaller is $10. These will be for delivery at the BAR meeting tomorrow afternoon. Sorry for the short notice, but the frags just became "available" :)

Here is a picture of one of our colonies :). This was taken less than a week ago. The other birdsnest next to it is recovering nicely from having anoter coral fall into it and sting the crap out of it :(. But at least it is recovering :)

Please be aware that we are still battling AEFWs, although they do not infect birdsnest and the frags are from the tips I want to be upfront about our pest problem. If you get one from us please plan to dip it to be safe. Thanks :)

Just a note that these are not mounted, they will be bagged and ready to mount where ever the buyer wants :)

not too bad, we wipe down maybe once a week. Our front glass is dirty now because we have been working to rearrange a few things and trap out some fish, so we seem to have more water spots on the outside of the glass than on the inside of the tank lately :). Plus I need to scrape the coraline sooner than later. Any algae on the glass takes a definitive back seat to the Coraline on my nuisance meter :)

Thanks for the info, and yes a reminder that I have to get to the coraline on the sides. I used 96wt cf on our frag tanks, They created more alg than the VHOs

The 1"+ frags have 2 - 3 branches on them, the <1" is only a twig, so I will drop that to 5$ (great starter frag for someone :)). I will also give a guarantee on the 1"+ frags, that if they don't make it, I will replace them at the next meeting. I really just don't have room in our prop tank for these, but since they got fragged, I wanted to offer them to our club at less than 1/2 off what online retailers are selling them for (at least the one I checked last night :)).

They went to people a the meeting yesterday. One to Charles, one to Teachermark for his classroom tank and one to Charles' friend, whose name I didn't catch :)

Sorry

If I end up accidentally fragging any more I will let you know :). We are planning a tank upgrade in the next couple of months, so almost anything is possible (and probable :)).

I will say that these corals are easy to care for, no large light requirements, and hardy. I didn't even realize I had "fragged" our colony until I saw something glowing in the sandbed :). Not long after having been knocked off into the sand the polyps all came out and made them stand out against the sand. I thought "frags with that much will to live deserve a good home" So we decided to offer to the our fellow reef club members. Charles commented to me in a PM that the polyps came out pretty quickly after he dipped and added the frag to his tank (like I said, tough little buggers :)).
