First of all I owe you an apology for the quick snap to judgement! Allow me to explain.
I purchased the apex to use on a system at a LFS where I am setting up a frag display and want to keep track of the tank remotely. I already have an apex and so when your stuff arrived, I tested the EB8 with my apex. It is well known that these EB8 can have trouble and I wanted to be sure it worked properly. I know my apex is good so I proceeded to test the EB8 on it. For some reason, the #1 malfunctioned and would not turn off. This is a common issue indicating that the unit is in need of repair. Believing you knowingly sent me an EB8 that did not work properly, I then went looking for more problems. I immediately connected the Apex, EB8 and display I purchased from you, and started testing. I could hear the quiet buzzing in the APEX and #1 outlet still would not turn off completely. I placed a call to neptune to ask for help but had to leave a message and got no reply. I sent neptune and email and got no reply, (I really did not expect to get an email back that fast and this is why I called neptune first.) I did a quick search on reef central and the results seemed to confirm what I thought. That is when I started to communicating with you and paypal. After everything seemed to be settled I unplugged everything and moved on to something else needing to cool off a bit. I planned to box it back up and ship it back tomorrow. Some hours later my kids saw it in the spare room and asked what was up. I told them what happened, reconnected it to show them what was wrong but it this time it worked properly. I am baffled as to what made it start working properly. Yes the apex makes a quiet buzzing noise but seems to work fine. Mine does not do that. Yes there is corrosion on the pH probe. No, I did not receive the pH probe you said was included. However, I feel I should apologize for dealing with you so harshly, so please accept my sincere apology.
