FS or trade: large green monti caps

My green monti caps are taking over and crowding out a lot of SPS, so I need to remove a lot of it.

Anybody willing to trade small SPS or zoo frags or a few bucks for a bunch of it?

I would be interested in some of the monty. I have nothing to trade at the time however. I also am out of town, and I see a snowstorm is moveing in. I am sure that will affect my return. Could you please take some to Scott at Exotic Tropicals and I will pick it on my way home from the air port. It is nice that he is right off of I-25.

And sorry for my absence everyone

That's 20 miles from my place. It can wait til after the storm and roads clear.

Yes, I'm surprised. These are beautiful corals, and I know somebody always wants some at the club meetings.

yeah my gallery is empty! I dont know why :(
Hopefully we'll get to meet Mr. 700 at the meeting and maybe see some photos? are you coming Mr. 700?

He might! I assume he still lurks here but I dont know weather he is considered a member, banished, not interested...........

On a side note i saw a Tomini tang in florida for sale. Kind of bland looking compared to most of the popular tangs, similiar colors to the orange shoulder tang. but I'm guessing thats where the name came from.

I've seen two for sale in the Springs. Keith had a young one with adult colors for $30-35 I think, and Seascape had a larger adult for something like $170.

They're neat looking fish, but not what I was after. I'm still looking for a pyramid butterfly.

I have two aquariums at this point, and I am working on building an indoor pond. For your information, my “700” gallon has the following dimensions 120” X 36” X 36” = 673 gallons aquarium capacity only. It is a FO “fish only” that has a filter capacity of an additional 300+/- gallons. My reef is an AGA “All Glass Aquarium” 210 gallons at 72” X 24” X 29” filter capacity 100+/- gallons. I do not have a gallery set up for some very simple reasons. First as some of you know, I am new to town and still getting set up. Second my job is rather demanding and I am gone more that I am here. Third I did not even notice that you could post pics. My fault sorry.

Now back on track, I am still interested in the monti cap, if there is any left. Scott said you could leave it at your convenience and that he would see to it that you get paid for the piece. He also offered to give you a store credit for it and I will just by it from him. Either is fine by me, and I hope he is making something for his trouble.

ReefKoi,

Regrettably no, I will be unable to attend. And with the not so warm welcome and criticism that I have encounter on this forum I am not so sure that I ever will. Time will tell

Mr.700.

700, things don't always come out the way they are intended on the internet. I think a good way to break the ice would be to come to a meeting...put names with faces, and everyone is cool. Lately there was a guy flaunting his "gigantic" aquarium and a few folks are skeptical because of the problems he caused...this reef club is meant for the personal setting, not this inpersonal setting. This forum is just a small part of the reef club itself...

Dan, no need to look much longer...if you want a pyramid they have one at Neptune's tropical fish in Denver. Like I said they had two at key's Is. but I think those have been sold.

What was the Neptune's price? They were $60-65 at Key's. Considering the price of gas, I'd be paying an additional $10-15 rount trip to Denver. When they're available locally, I've been told they might be available for $35-40.

Mr700, we're all just kidding around. No one is really doubting whether your tank is 700 G. ;)

700, I can give you a ton of monti cap. There's no charge. If you have a small frag of SPS you wouldn't mind trading, that would be cool. If not, that's ok too.

I'm not sure whether the large pieces will all survive intact, but a little superglue gel will hold any pieces together, and they'll grow back together within a week or two. The green monti is almost indestructible.

I can probably get it to you personally. Send me a PM with your address and we'll work out details of the delivery.
