It worked, but it was a hassle to open/close with the nylon screws and a hassle to clean out, i think the new one is a twist top, also i was going to use it for carbon but mesh bags is alot easier to use and change, also the container had to hang on a shelve next to my sump because my sump tank wasnt tall enough for the container to hang, and I had to run another pump when i already have 11 power heads running combined in all my tanks, if i had a basement sump with a tank on the 1st floor and had alot of room i would get one again or while curing LR it might become a nice piece of equipment My rating 6 out of 10 for this model
