FS: Smoke Sale, Some stuff must go.

um well being married and happy is a success. but thats one lady !!!! and yes you are very wise in the saltwater aspect, but was it all hard learnin ????

True. My wife always asks me if I could ever have an affair. And I told her sure, but I would be a damn fool to think I can DEAL W/2 WOMAN at the SAME TIME! So I keep her happy. I am just a big flirt!

As far as the saltwater my brotha, thank you. Its been hard learning with a ton of losses, lots of endless reading/researching, figuring what works for me, and the natural order of things if you catch my drift. I do my best at sharing my knowledge for what has not worked and worked for me.

I am just REAL proud of you that you have kept your system so alive in such a short period of time. Especially with SPS on a relatively new tank, you have that magic touch brotha that most in this hobby that have been around for years can't still figure out SPS. Kuddos to you my brotha! You said you were going to do it and did it and proved many wrong including myself. Not ashamed to admit when I am wrong. BIG  to you P!!!!

thanks again hans, does mean alot. i now cant believe i went without a tank for so long. and i had alot of success with a 120g same size bout 5 years ago. but with crap skimmer, ebay lighting, okay flow, HOB of course, haha. all lps and softies. so i knew this time around i wanted to try sps.

well Hans you saw my tank and its running on just a HOB...(dont want Steffen reading this :P ) I really dont want to put a skimmer on everything is doing great... but I think I will.. (btw you never told me whats up with your skimmer).. and maybe in a week or so ill just introduce something cheap and see how it does

Beto, before you go out and buy some SPS's first you have to buy some test kits. YOu need to know what your parameters are first. if any o them are ot right the sps will perish

Erik

didnt know you were running without a skimmer. definately need one. i feed not to often but a good amount every 2-3 days. corals need to eat. rods food provided.

yes i feed rods food... and yea i mean ive never had a problem with the HOB with all the other corals they all look healthy I just want to get one for the SPS.. and yes Erik I was going to get one just to check the entire next week that my parameters are looking good

i know but yeah i do believe now is that constant water changes are not good for sps, if so make them smaller changes to not upset the good balance too much.

yes i do that to I dont like to change my water as often... i change it just because i dont have the skimmer so i imagine i will be changing less when i get the skimmer

Beto, the HOB skimmer I recomend for your tank is the the one I had prior to installing the sump, The Octopus BH 300 http://coralvue.com/dbh300/ this skimmer did a great job on my tank. it has two pumps but you only need to use one, this lets the skimmer have 1 input and two outputs in turn keeping the bubbles in the skimmer

i think i might I am running a HOB that is for a 90 gallon.. so its a little big for the 57 gallon but i think there is enough space... if I happen to get this one where can i order it?
