I have 3 frags of each, monti, orange pavona and green pavona. $20/frag. I can bring it to the meeting tomorrow.

I also have a yellow wrasse that been with me for a long time, along with my six line, he's just too much of a competition to the madarin so I'll let him go. $15 for the yellow wrasse.

It's not a male characteristic in the Halichoeres genus. Both sexes show it when they get older. :D

oh, I was told it was a sign of dominance.Still pretty cool. Took me 2 years before mine started doing that.

Really? Do you happen to remember where you read this? I could be wrong, but I swear I've seen groups of adults that all have it. <shrugs>

Cool fish regardless!

Not off the top of my head, I know the book is old but they also refer it as a Thalassoma lutescens and describe the females and juvenile adults stay yellow while the male will turn into the green and striped markings along the face and and a lil past the gills? But looking at the Thalassoma lutescens specie the markings are almost identicle in regards to the markings on the face that are now just recently starting to show through like little_d's.

This photo you can barely see it,

It was getting unmistakingly noticeable last month, infact I think I tried getting your attention about, but forgot if we talked about it. I dont think we did. Funny thing is after I put the CB butterfly in there the markings are starting to fade out! Things that make you go hmmm...

Justin,

Go ahead and bring it to the meeting today.

Thanks
Anthony

Huh? This fish is a Halichoeres chrysus. Very different from a Thalassoma wrasse. Are you saying the book called them by both names?

No, it just referred it as Thalassoma lutescens, but they showed a pic of the ones we have desribing it as the juvinile version. I'll bring the book to the meeting tonight, I think Im done with it.
