FS: Stuff Has to Go!!

It's been a rough day, and I'm in the need of downsizing things so I don't have to move it all in a few days. Please, if you are thinking about any of this, let me know ASAP and we can work something out. I'll take pictures tonight and try to post them tomorrow.

Tanks
(1) 42g Hex and stand. In good condition, clean, with plastic hood and lights (If I can find them). $100

(1) 44g Corner Pentagon. This was going to be my Black and White tank, and it's still in repair. The back right pane of glass is broke. I have it ready to come out. It'll need a new rim which can be ordered for a few dollars from a LFS that deals with AGA tanks. The stand isn't "skinned", but is very sturdy and can slide a 10g tank for a refugium under it and has a seperate area designated for electrical work. For the buyer, I can help you get the new glass, set it in, put the new rim on, and even drill it and put in an overflow. I just haven't had the time. $50

(1) 20g Hex and stand. In good condition. Bottom is drilled for a .75" return and a 1" drain. Comes with a glass lid. The original intention was to build DIY Rock around the pipes to make a center overflow. I'm willing to help do this for whoever buys it. $50

Phytoplankton
I have 320 fluid ounces of Phytoplankton. I'm keeping my culture station though. It is Nannochloris sp. with a minimum cell count of 61.4 million cells/ml. I have them setting in 20oz bottles now. I'll take $10/bottle. This is the same stuff that Adam and others are culturing that was brought to the meeting. I have the phyto filtered and ready to go.

Livestock
I have various livestock that I might be selling, too. A long struggle has left most of the corals in subpar conditions. I'll make a list of what we want to get rid of later. Hopefully things will start to turn around for them though. (FWIW, it's mainly corals)

Others
I have a long list of other stuff that we need to clear out. It's mainly baby stuff such as clothes, crib, megasaucer, bascinet, etc. Contact me for more information

All this stuff has to go as soon as possible. Most of the larger stuff I won't be able to deliver because I have a car. Please contact me through PM if possible.

For those that want to come by, just send me a PM when you will want to be there and someone will be home.

All PMs received and replied to.

FWIW, if you are even remotely interested in something, don't be afraid to give me a PM. This stuff seriously has to go!

Iiiiiif I can make it home at a decent time tonight, I might be able to build the center overflow for the 20g Hex. Granted, it won't be "kured", but at least it will be there.

42g Hex Tank (Pending)
20g Hex Tank $50
44g Corner Pentagon $50

Phyto - Lots left
Baby Stuff - Pending (Most of it)

Coral - Not for sale anymore. I've had many generous offers for people that will hold them and recoop them in their tanks. I'm going to take them up on their offer(s). If money is still tight, I will have to sell them as a LAST resort, but we'll see. Unless they can be recooped they wouldn't be worth much anyways.

As promised, here are pictures

Glass Ready to be pulled

The rim is cut off to remove the glass and would be better with a new rim. Should work find without a rim.

But I still have the piece of rim

Also for the other stuff that I have for sale, we took pictures of all the baby stuff. KDC Has first dibs on some stuff, but she wanted to see pictures first. PM me with questions and prices. I want to keep the thread about selling the tanks - http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a184/TravisStevens/Aquariums/For Sale/?start=all

Here is the update and a Progress Shot. I built the overflow so people don't have to worry about it later. It will still need to be cured though.

20g Hex Bottom with Bulkheads in it

I then placed the drain and return pipe in at the appropriate level. I built up what I could with cement and then used my wife's hair dryer and a small fan to harden the outside just enough to build up more.

Through the night and into the morning, we finally finish and have a completed rock overflow with my recipe for DIY Rock. It's even complete with several ledges to add frags.

Finally, instead of ordering an expensive 5-Way Cross, I built one myself many months ago out of a 4-Way Cross and a coupling. Works great!

I really hate to see this go because it is such a cool tank with lots of potential. It would be an awesome reef tank with lots of cool corals, and it would be an awesome seahorse tank filled with macroalgae. All of this is still $50 (unless they want to offer more ;) ), but the buyer has to promise to do a build log with lots of progress picture and has to invite me to come over and look at it from time to time :D

Wow, so far everything is sold/pending to women cool, yet strange coincidence :)

44g Corner - SOLD Pamela
42g Hex - Pending nlknight
20g Hex - Possibly Pending OUBrook

Other Items (Baby Clothes, Baby Stuff, Women's Jackets, etc) - PM for Information and Price. Most of it Pending between KDC and OUBrook

Edit: I have (7) 20oz bottles of Phytoplankton left.

KDC and DG I have your bottles saved back. Poke75, were you still wanting some phyto?

Umm.. Haha, I think you might be confused with the 20 hex... I don't want/need another tank, lol. Just maybe some baby stuff :) (for my sister, everyone!) (not Sheri, another one) haha
But I'll pass on the tank. Hope you get it figured out!

:D Brook

Love the work you did to the 20g. If it was in OKC, I'd buy it on friday
when I get my bonus.

But as usual all the good stuff is out of town or for sale when I'm
between checks.

A good small rubbermaid tub or trash can would make a
great sump.

Chuck E.

Brook: WHOOPS! I'll fix that. I could have sworn you said you were thinking about buying it, but I cleared out my PMs before I left yesterday. 12-14 hour work days take their toll in no time :)

Chuck: I would guess that it would take 2-3 months to properly "kure" because it is so big and thick. But, it might be less. There really is no accurate way to tell the time because there are so many different factors involved in the "kuring" process. It is fully "cured" and ready for "kuring" though. In order to Kure it, you will need to soak it in freshwater. It's that simple. But, if you have something to keep the water moving, keep it warm, and do waterchanges as often as possible, you should be able to speed up the process. Ideas have been tossed around that adding vinegar or yeast/sugar will speed things up, but I haven't seen any true evidence that this works. It just works in theory. Doug (dugg) cured his cement tank with yeast/sugar and it did great. But, no offense dugg, I don't see any paper printouts, chemical analysis, etc. In my opinion, the easiest way to cure this would most likely be in the tank. Add a plastic storage container under it like suggested, fill it up, and let it run like a regular tank.

Russ: Got the PM. Thanks

Well, since time is running short, I really need to get this sold. So, I'll post more details about the other stuff. For those that are interested in any of it, PM me and we'll work it out. That way we can keep it as reef related as possible. For those that are buying things, I should be able to bring it to the December meeting. The only thing that I can't deliver would be the 42g Hex. It's just too big to fit in my car.

Pending
Chuck and Kayce, can you confirm that you still want these and/or will be at the December meeting?

20g Hex ($50): Wildstar1063
2 Phytoplankton ($10/each): D.G. (Confirmed for Dec. Meeting)
3 Phytoplankton ($10/each): KDC
1 Phytoplankton ($10/each): Russ braaten (Confirmed for Dec. Meeting)

For Sale
I should be able to deliver this to the Dec. Meeting with the exception of the 42g Hex.

Aquarium Stuff
42g Hex and Stand ($100): Tank is in good condition. It needs a little dusting, but it's free of coralline, calcium deposits, and sand. No need to wash it out. You'll have to find a way to pick it up.
6 Phytoplankton ($10/each): The phytoplankton comes in a 20oz bottle with a sticker on it explaining what it is, how to feed, etc. It has been filtered through a series of meshes to ensure that it's all phytoplankton and not debris or anything else. It should keep for another two months in the refrigerator.
