After upgrading my tank I have purchased a new skimmer and have my Tunze available. It is less than 6 months old. It is a good skimmer with the expected Tunze quality. Beyond good performance, its greatest asset is its extremely compact footprint. I have all original parts and packaging. Asking $200 + shipping OBO.

Bump for a great skimmer and meticulous seller, These are pretty much the standard for smaller set up's that want a quality skimmer.

I have a few question about the skimmer. I have a 125gal tank and I'm looking for a new skimmer. Do you think that the skimmer is adequate for my size? Or is it for smaller systems? How does it match up with a AquaC EV 240 which is my other option. Let me know what you think.

tdhnry, NP. That is a good skimmer. Good luck.

...

Just to be clear, this is not the Nano skimmer. It is meant for larger tanks. I'd say it would do well up to a heavily stocked 125. Anything else would be pushing it despite what the specs say. As per original post, one of the bes features is its small foot print. Great for when sump space is at a premium.

Sorry to have this bumped back to the top... but I have been getting a steady stream of interested persons. This skimmer was sold a ways back. Happy hunting to all.

Mods, please feel free to close this thread. Thx!

Ugh... title should be Skimmer Sold! Why no spell check enabled in the titles. :(

Tis mine now. :) And is doing great! I had to send it back to Tunze, Michael, for updating because it was rather loud, but it it skimming like a beast and is very quiet now. Thanks!

Sorry to hear it was loud for you but glad it is doing well now... Did they say what the issue was?

No worries. Roger didn't say. He said he upgraded the pump to the latest, which had to do with adding some disc of some sort. Needless to say, it was a hassle free experience. :)

All Skimmers are loud according to Brandon, I can't wait for him to tell me he can hear this Red Dragon Pump! On the Vertex Alpha 170 Cone by Bubble King. We shall see?

Now, Bill, there's no denying that Octopus skimmer was a little loud. :D

This Tunze is pretty darn quiet. I'm really happy with it.

Did you get your Aquatronica yet?

Brandon
