OK - I seriously need to clear out some inventory.

Two for sale. Local sales only and no shipping. They used to go for $20 a head and have no idea what acans go for these day but have great color, my favorites and are easy to raise.

1) 6 heads - $30
2) 14 heads - $50

PS I also have 2 1/2 heads of true Tyree watermellon challice I paid $175 for which I'll sell for $150 or best offer. Have of other stuff I'll add as freebies.

Thanks.

Pics will follow...

Hey Bry you got it.

By the way here is a quick pic of the larger one. Sorry for the image quality but I'm too lazy to turn the power heads off and all that.

Lighting is a single 250W Phoenix 14k (electronic ballast not overdriven) with two 20W ATI blueplus something or other T5s. Both bulbs are about 9months old. [I probably should change the phoenix as I think the color changes pretty fast after 6mo... ] Honestly acans look their best under just the T5s as the halide washes out the colors a little. With less current you get insanely puffy polyp expansion but less intense color. If you hit them with curent they contract but produce almost metalic color. Acans look great under sunlight but will fluoresce 'pop' with actinic (blue or straight 430nm).

@Jake - The kids love the seastar as I do so so sorry not for sale. <grin>

@acuarista - I've given out ALOT of corals over the last 10+ years so it is always great to see what actually happens to them. I'm glad you got that chalice and you've done REALLY well with it. Good job. And you know the more you frag and 'pass it forward' the more karma you get!

@Dan - Did I give you a small frag of some of the ultra lords? Post some pictures as it is always interesting to see how corals grow and color up in other peoples tanks.

OK, I have two people interested in the larger one : sfexplicit then schmedley.

I have another acan I could sell but it is much larger (26 heads), _slightly_ different color in that it leans towards pink/orange and would prolly have to be fragged. All depends on what color/look you are after...

Dang acans and my stupidity...

Dang acans and my stupidity...

Came home today and found half my Tyree watermellon challice was gone. Neighboring acan just inverted itself and took half the challice out.

Nasty LPS ... sometimes.
