Hello everyone. I wanted to control 4 more items than the DC8 would allow so I read up on the ACjr and found out it would control up to 12 items. I looked at adding a DC4, DC4HD or another DC8 and thought the price was a bit more than I wanted to spend. I shopped around and found a deal on a bunch of X10 stuff. I bought it all and weeded out what I would need and now I am offering the extras for sale. I could just hang on to it for spares but I think I would rather let the stuff go now and risk having to pay out to replace it later if it goes bad.
So, for sale I have enough equipment to control FOUR MORE devices IN ADDITION TO the DC8. A nice feature of this method is that you can have up to 500w on each module and use them on different outlets to not overload one circuit for your tank.
All you need to do is plug the phone cord into your DC8 and then into the Interface Module (included) then plug that into the wall.
Anywhere in your house, you plug one of the 4 included Appliance Modules and assign it a name in the ACjr. Then you tell the ACjr when to turn it off and on and it magically clicks on or off according to the parameters you assign.
I have heard of guys using these to turn their Xmas trees on and off with the ACjr timers
I used mine to run a few of the heavier items like my IC660 ballasts so I didn't overload the DC8 by running 4 of them and all the other stuff on there at once.
I added a Solana tank and needed to control the 150w MH lighting so I added another Appliance Module and set it to the same code as one of the IC660's and it clicks on and off at the same time too!
You could honestly control LOTS of things if they were tied together like 15 different tanks all with the same lighting schedule could be run from the same ACjr switch location. You could turn them on and off by using 15 modules set to the same address. They do not have to be anywhere NEAR each other, just on the same household wiring. You can control lighting for all your tanks on 3 different floors from one ACjr.
Well here's the breakdown of what is being offered:
(1) X10 PL-513 Powerline Interface Module
LINK
(3) RadioShack 61-2684B Appliance Modules (same as X10 Appliance Module)
LINK
(1) LM465 Lamp Module (allows for dimming on the circuit and could easily dim moonlights according to ACjr built-in moon phase schedule)
LINK
(1) phone cord to link to your DC8
I will sell the set for $70 and could meet someone or they are welcome to stop by here if preferred. I work in Medina and could easily meet near there after 4:30pm or if you want to come out here for them I could cut some cheap frags too
Considering that the DC4 costs $127.99, the DC4HD is $129.99 and the DC8 is $149.99 and all of those will be "plus shipping". This is a pretty cheap way of getting the most out of your ACjr or AC3. It is nice to not have to run a cord all the way to the DC8 from the fuge to turn lights on and off. I am also turning my upstairs 92g tank's lights on and off this way from the basement.
PM me to arrange exchange
