Hey guys, I'm thinkin about selling this setup because it takes up a lot of space in my one-car garage. Each of the barrels is 30 gallons. Up for grabs are the barrels, pvc circulation system (minus pump), stand.
The only thing I'd like to keep is the pump and float switch.
If anyone is interested pm me. If anyone just wants the barrels and pvc, let me know, too. 150.00 for the stand, barrels, pvs, uniseals, etc. or 40.00 for just the 2 barrels.
The barrels are drilled at bottom side and have 1" uniseals. The freshwater tank is on top and is also drilled at top for a float switch. The pvc leaves the freshwater barrel and is connected to the saltwater barrel below through gravity. There's a separate valve that allows you to remove fresh water out of the top barrel if you just need rodi water.
The pump pulls water from the bottom of the lower barrel and pushes it back up to the top of the same barrel to circulate the saltwater when you are ready to mix it. What I do normally is once the saltwater barrel is empty, I'll pour in a bag of salt and then open the freshwater valve to let the barrel refill. While that's filling I flip on the pump and let everything circulate.
