FT : Lamarck Angel

He is a model citizen as far as corals, clams, inverts, etc are concerned, but he is getting a bit "big for his britches" and has started trying to bully some of the smaller fish, that plus we already bought his replacement (a nice fairy wrasse, the exact species we are still working on :)). The Lamarck is now in a floating breeder in the sump, ready to go to his new home :).

Here is a shot of him about a week ago. He is a very active fish, so it was quite hard to get a good picture, this was the best that I could do (or was willing to work for :)).

I am willing to trade for a frag of any nice SPS or LPS (blastos, micromussas, acans, etc). They do not have to be rare, named, etc.. just anything nice :). These fish are only $20 online, so I don't expect any LEs for him :). He is very healthy and active, and the picture doesn't do him justice (he has more blue highlights than I could capture in the picutre).

Thanx Karl and otterpop. I am just about to put it up "free to good home", like most of our previously "relocated" fish (relocated from our tank to somewhere else :)). I was just hoping to get a little something back in return, if nothing else but to cover my gas expense :).

Very nice fish and healthy. I saw this fish from the previous owner Paul before Tom acquired it. I wanna take it but my 300g project is not ready yet. Though I already started the hardward flooring in my living room to get ready for my new tank.

Tom, what did you get to replace the Lamarc?

A fairy wrasse out of the Coral Sea (according to the LFS). We have a fairy wrasse from that region (the only one I knew of from there), the rosy fin, which looks nothing like this guy :).. I am working through the LFS to the wholesaler to try to identify the exact species. It looks like a lineatus with a red tail and dorsal (and some other minor coloration differences in the body). Since they are rather similar, I have been watching the new guy and our lineatus very closely since his introduction. So far so good, but feeding time this morning will be the make/break point.

And yes, this is Paul's old Lamarck :). It has grown quite a bit since we bought him from Paul. This fish can do some seriously chowing down at dinner time :D

Hey Tom,

I wish that I have seemed this yesterday 'cause I was up in the SF all yesterday. I will go back up there this coming weekend if you can hold him until then else I understand.

I just hope that it can get along with the lineatus, I am keeping a very close eye on them both. In a couple of months they will have a much larger space to swim in (hopefully :)).

vtrieu88, Will you be at the Frag Swap next weekend ? If so then I can deliver it to you then. Otherwise I am afraid I am pretty tied up both Saturday (with the swap) and Sunday (with project work for my office). We actually live our on the Brentwood area, but occassionally make it into the Pleasant Hill/Concord area. For obvious reasons I would like to get him out of our sump sooner than later. It is just not very humane to keep him in that breeder net box "thing" for too long in our sump :)

I'll be in LA for a wedding next weekend (10/4-5). Bumper! Let me know if you are in the Pleasant Hill area and I can meet up with you. Wish that I could pick him up today. Thanks.

correction, out 11/11-12. Thinking of this weekend. Let me know if we can meet somewhere this weekend as well. Thanks.
