Long shot but if anyone has a smaller Dastaco setup and would like a larger model, I'm open to trading since this model is rated to 500g so a little overkill for my 120. Everything included as if purchased new, works flawlessly although there is a small acrylic repair by the union on the secondary chamber. No leaks-originally purchased Feb 2018.

I use A2 on my 150G. I do not think it's that much overkill for your 120..just fyi

Hey good to know, thanks. I will definitely use it otherwise.
Just to be fully transparent, it will also depend on your system demand.
I have lots of sps so mu demand is high.
How much alk and ca do you currently dose?

I've been using a Vertex CaRx for the past few months. It worked well but currently don't have a lot of SPS.

What matters is the demand of your system. That's all what it is about.
Reason why I did not get the ex a1 is because diffrence between a1 and A2 is not much. So a2 is more future proof.
I have my A2 set in alk seyying 2, vent 1 which is low setting because my demand is not very high...
Thanks

Thanks, I'll play around with it. I think most of the models also use the same small 1046 5w Eheim pump.

I was thinking about getting this for my 120:

Looks like the build quality is better on the larger units (the valves in particular) but I guess that how they got the price down.

What do you guys think?
First time I see this one...the ex a2 have very good build quality and can support up to 500g which means have good growth margin..not sure about this new one...
I will say this, anything out of that company is good. Their quality is very good and well designed.
If am you I would ask them directly. They are very active on their facebook.

Might be nice to have this on my tank.
Perfect size for your 375--you'll be the 1st to know if I decide to part with it. ;) No ph probe or bubble counter to worry about and comes with its own peristaltic pump which all appealed to me.

From what I've read dastaco even underrate their reactors so that compact would probably suffice for a 120 but I agree that the build quality doesn't look to be as good. I'd get the A1 just to have some head room. I think UC is offering 15% off right now.
