FTS after rescaping

I am not all that happy with the way things turned out but I got out about 30 pounds of rock that was covered with GSP, mushrooms, and green palys. Added about 40 pounds of BRS dry rock.

Dave - Did you trade in some of your GSP rock to City Zoo? I saw a pretty large piece in their tank over the weekend and was just wondering.

About the tank.............pics still loading...........STUPID DSL!!!!!!.............

It looks alright Dave. I have always liked tanks that have a higher stack at one corner and fall off towards the other side. There is possibility to make it more interesting, maybe if you made a separate island or tried to make a couple little caves or overhangs. Maybe a swimming channel between 2 islands? A isolated column? It's really tough to suggest what someone else should do with their tank, but I have to tell you that if you are not satisfied with how you have the rock, you will most likely come to a point where you tear it all apart again and try to redo it. When I got my 54gal I set the rock up against the back walls, which took about 3 seperate times to get it how I liked it. Then I got tired of it that way and went to a central island in the middle. I couldn't get the rocks stacked in a way that looked appealing and interesting to me for quite a while. I ended up taking everything out of the tank at least 6 times and re-arranging the rock until I was happy. It probably took over 6 months before I was done moving things around, but now I'm happy with it to the point where all I'll be doing is just adding more coral.

I hope you can find an arrangement that you like before you decide you are done messing with things!

Looks good Dave. I would try and open up some more holes in the rock work but thats just my opinion. If you ever want a hand lmk!

Ok guys whats up with an Elmira reef club! Nick that used to work at city zoo mentioned something to me about a swap at one of his buddies out towards watkins. I visited his house recently and he has some AMAZING stuff. Clarion Angel, Mculloch clowfish pair, an insane collection of coral. It would def be fun for some of us Elmira guys.

No, not me. I waiting to here form a few people that wanted buy/trade. I don't here from them I give City Zoo or Dave at TFO a shot.

Actually it is more open than it looks. The flat piece is just sitting on three widely spaced rock with a few loosely sitting on top.

Matt, I've heard a lot about that place, and I'd definitely be down for checking it out. Let everyone know if anything arises!

Dave, maybe you could add some more rock? I know it's frustrating to have to keep messing with it, but if you don't like it right after you set it up, you probably never will

I must been half asleep when I typed that. What language is it?

I know, the problem was the water was so murky when I was stacking it I could not tell what it looked like. Now that it cleared up I can go in and move a few things around. It starting to grow on me though.

Jim, if you wanna take a ride out there sometime LMK and ill talk to nick. Its really something! Alot of the stuff they have out there most hobbyists will never see
