Fu man chu

I want to out a fu man chu in a 30 gallon with my pair of percs.

The percs are close to an inch, would this work if i bot a realy small fu man chu?

their mouths open prety wide. and they grow. so long term it wont work most likely.

if you try it, be ready to come home to no clowns one day, its a risk you know, so ...

Any lionfish with a big enough mouth will be a risk if the other inhabitants can fit in its mouth.

I read somewhere that a lionfish can eat prey that's nearly as large as itself. Not only can its mouth expand, but its stomach can expand 30x its normal size. In other words, it's probably best to have clowns that are larger than the lionfish. Fu manchus only get about 4", so you're still running the risk of the clowns getting eaten. You can start with a really small one, then swap it out as it gets bigger.
