Fuge harvest

How much cheato should you grow before harvest? Nutrient export is one thing but keeping in growing healthy is a concern, maybe or not

providing you have appropriate lighting, the actual amount depends on how many nutrients are available for it to grow, if you are getting substantial growth I would harvest frequently and consistently, after allowing a sizable base then removing about a third of the total amount each time, so allow it to grow by about a third then harvest, my 2 cents

I harvest almost 50% of mine at a time and when it has filled 2/3 of the fuge portion of the sunp do it again. occasionally I toss what I remove, or if it is near a meeting/auction i will offer to bring some. Some LFS will give you a small credit for it as well if it is clean.

Same here in Mesa and just got tank up cycled, went to LFS and they didn't have any a few days ago.
