I am thinking of converting the 1st part of my sump to a fuge to grow cheato and help battle nitrates.My question is how much space is actually needed to grow the macro and if this space is too small is it a waste.Also in that part of my sump I have two exits,one goes to my mag 12 which powers my skimmer and the other is easy flow to the 2nd part of my sump which has the return and a couple of reactors and pumps.could I just cover these 2 exits with egg crate to block them from getting clogged or any other suggestions ??? thanks for your replies.
