fuge w/ pump return == pureed 'pods?

i'm going to be moving my fuge under the tank. currently it's on a gravity return to the dt, as it sits above it. once i move it below, w/ a return pump (quiet one 3000), will that cut off the supply of live pods making it into the dt?

are there ways around that?

I've seen even an amphipod (an elephant v a corgi) survive the ride through a mag 9.5; and pods routinely make the trip through my Iwaki 100, which has small apertures and goes like a jet engine...

What does kill them off by the gross is filter bags, sponges, and other impediments to a full circular flow.
