FujiFilm S5100 Lenses?

As some of you might see with a recent post, I'm looking to get a DSLR camera for ease of focusing and ability to find qualit lenses. In the mean time, I'll just make do with what I have. I would like to enhace the performance of my camera with little cost possible. How do these lenses perform? Will they actually help me focus on objects closer to me?

I like how the first one has a 10x with it, but it's a little more pricey, but not by much at all. Does anyone know of where I could find this cheaper?

And nothing really compares to the price of a nice macro lens. The diopters (okay, macro lenses) are probably around 1/10th the price of even a low end macro lens. I have a set that I paid $28.00 including shipping from ebay that fit my 52mm lenses. Certainly not as good as a macro lens, but to me better than nothing. And if you don't have a DSLR and can't change out the lens anyway, these can be a stopgap to help for a while.

To me it really depends on how close your built in lens will go, and how much closer you want to be able to get. All diopters tend to add some level of distortion because they aren't built to the exacting specs of a real lens, and really your adding elements to a lens that probably wasn't necessarily designed for it. Also, some cheap diopters aren't coated at all, so it's more likely to get color aberations. And I guess it depends on how much $30 means to you as well. To me in the bigger picture it's not much, so I think for me they were worth it, at least until I can dig up enough money for a real Macro lens for my Nikon DSLR.
