full list of everything needed

Does anyone have a full list of everything you need/have for your setup that you are willing to share? (if you have prices and links that's even better)

I'm looking to get a 75-120g setup. I've been looking for a good deal on a used one when it comes up. I have about $2500 set aside for everything including rock, but not fish/coral. I think this is enough to get a good setup, but I want to be sure there's nothing I'm missing. I'd like to do it right from the get go and have the ability for any coral.

Thanks for the input.

There are so many ways to do things right, just search some build threads and see what they are useing. Some people use controllers and others dont, all diffrent lights to use but can all do the same output which is grow corals, ect. Do your own research on diff equipment and see what will work for you.

Thanks. That sounds like one heck of a setup. Have any pics?

I do have a few questions for you.
Why is your sump so large compared to your tank, but your total volume is so small?
Why did you decide to go with 3 AI 52's vs 26's?
Why are you using a 26 on your refugium? (isn't that too much light down there?)
Why are there additional lights beyond the AI's?
How does the quad float ATO work, and is it a DIY system? I've seen two and three floats, but never four.

Thanks again.

As said above, there's so many ways to do things "right". It really is going to depend on what you want in the tank, and it could even depend on where you live. I just moved from Phoenix to Portland. In Phoenix lots of people need chillers for their tanks. Here in Portland, I discovered that they make these things called heaters... Weird. I never needed one before.

That being said, if you're just doing fish only, you could have almost nothing equipment wise.

I personally have had great success with reef setups with just about anything besides sps with live rock and lots of flow only, along with good lights. I never ran a sump, skimmer, or anything else really. I didn't even dose anything. Regular water changes go a loooong way.

I am assuming he is taking displacement into account, in addition the sump is not 100% full.
