Thanks again dugg but I've been to Sacremento and do not wish to, nor could afford to live there. I know you're trying to be helpful but unfortunately without truly knowing me as close as a friend or family would your suggestions come off sounding condescending. Its actually not computer work that I want to do, or at least not in the computer science aspect of it.
Drug culture isn't an issue if you aren't involved in drugs, imo. There's tons of it here but I won't go near it with a 10 foot pole. Over 50% of Seattle's population has a college degree and over 80% have a library card. It has many other qualities that I am certainly looking for.
My sister-in-law lives in Sacrmento so I've been there a few times before and the culture there is just not my thing.
