I am at my witts end with this Zoa Pox,,,I have ALOT of Zoas and been battling Zoa Pox on a couple of colonies but just looked at both tanks on one system and most of my zoas have pox,,what to do...This will be a massive undertaking to dip them in seperate containers or give up and get out...
WHATS THE BEST WAY TO FIX THIS ??? Dose Furan 2 to the whole system????
Already cleaned heaters,skimmer,return pump ...
I cant get a break in year 2015 with my dog first then this...

Unless you have a separate tank thats a big hospital tank then you can dose the whole tank but I don't recommend dosing Furan in your main tank as that would crash your system.

or you could do something like this if its really temporary.

or can't use or afford those then just get the cheaper rubbermaids like these.

Thanks for the reply,,are you suggesting a hospital tank with furan 2 dosing and having the Furan2 in the tank for several days?? or a seprate just to do the dipping then put back in clean hospital tank water? thnaks for your help

We used furan2 dip for pox... Followed the directions and it worked great... To save on furan we used 1 gallon zip lock freezer bags and treated the entire colony at once. You can partially submerge the bag in water to force it around the whole rock...just make sure the bag doesn't leak. It may seem a bit weird but it worked.

+1, dosing your whole tank would kill off the beneficial bacteria and crash your system. I'm not sure how long corals can be in Furan or if there's any limit, but if it's not damaging (big if) then theoretically in a hospital tank you could continuously run it as long as you kept up with any die-off to prevent a cycle. Maybe Amquel dosing, dunno.

Either way if you're dosing a lot of rocks make sure to dip them in regular tank water for a while to get rid of excess Furan on them before it gets into your tank.
