so I have seen a lot of different algae types growing in my tank but has anyone seen this type? Any tips for its removal? It tends to grow in not very bright areas. Or is it some type of sponge?
If you can find any tube-shaped branches, it could be a sponge. Or it could be a low-light turf algae. The purplish color makes it look like a coralline algae.
