Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish

Ok, I finally took some pictures of my new Dwarf Lionfish. None of them turned out that well, but this was the best of the batch:

Looks pretty good to me.

You probably could lighten the shadows on his fins a bit to bring those out more. I would do it for you but I didn't know if we are allowed to edit images here on the forum.

Maybe use a bit larger aperture to separate the lionfish more from the background, and some white balance fixes.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Made some minor adjustements based on the above comments. Removed some of the yellow cast in the first one (more blue now) and dodged some of the shadows on the Lionfish. The crop just happens to be different as I didn't refer back to my original crop (above) when I cropped the file with changes made.

now that's a great looking fish, is that a reef tank, and how is the lionfish behaving with the corals.

Thanks. I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call it a Reef tank, but I've got a variety of Zoos, Xenia, Mushrooms and some other softies. The Lionfish does not seen to be bothering any of them.

The dwarfs actually have a stronger venom than the bigger lions.

I hadn't heard that, thanks for the info. I have no intention of ever getting stung by this guy. I'll admit I'm mildly curious, but not that much...

they are very very very interesting fish. he follows me around just like a porcupine puffer... his colors are amazing and so is his attitude.

I have.... it was pretty bad, but Ive never been stung by any other type of liond=fish. it was pretty good. made my hand numb for a few hours...
