Fuzzy Mushroom Question

Noticed one had withdrawn, and was putting off a slime, algae like substance about 1/2" long, or so.

Waste?

In a couple of hours it was back to normal.

if it was like a maroon color it could have either been waste or zooxanthelle.. pretty normal
