can you do a fw dip on a clam and if so how long should you leave it in the fresh water

Yes you can do a fw dip on a clam for up to 15 min. I only do this for treatment of pinched mantle. May I ask why you wish to do a fw dip? It is very stressful and should only be done as a last resort treatment.

Do you have a distressed clam>
If so what are your params, fish and inverts, lighting, what do you suppliment and can you post a pic of the clam in question?

it is a freind of mines clam the params are good the clam just is not opening and we took it out put in a bucket and there was some yerry tiny hard sheld bugs that came out or off of it they were not anything that i have ever seen before

Yes this works very well for pinched mantel. I just had to dip my baby gigas. Opened right back up good as new. I also did this to a maxima I had A while back, saved that one too.
