Fw dipping angelfish. Help quick!

My emp has really bad ich, it's appetite has diminished and is breathing too hard. Do any of you fw dip? How do you do it? Does it work?

How big is the emp? If it is larger then a 10 minute dip at the same PH as the tank will help. I would also suggest QTing asap with copper. Emperors can handle copper very well.

Unfortunately a fresh water dip won't solve the ich problem. You will need to treat or hope it pulls through.

I agree, FW dips do nothing for ich. All the fish need to be placed in a qt system and treated with Hypo or copper and the tank left fallow for at least 6 weeks
