FWD question

I'm getting ready to do a fwd on my gigas b/c it is pinched. but i don't know how long to leaving it in the dip. can someone help me out with this please?

I have heard from reputable sources that "pinched mantle" is not an issue with any other species except Crocea's and Maxima's.

I would do a lot of research before I would subject a clam to a FWD. I. E. make sure it will help.

Do you have a picture of your Gigas?

unfortunately i don't have a camera. but it looks just like every other pinched mantle i've ever seen on RC. on one side the mantle hangs over the shell great but on the other side only about 75% hangs over the other 25% is stuck right at the edge of the shell and it won't extend any further than that. any ideas of what it could be other than a pinch?

PM can and will effect all of the clams that we keep.

try to get a pic some how before you dip to make sure that it is PM
