FYI... Anyone Looking for a Red Sea Regal Angel

Damn, I been wanting a Red Sea Regal Angel, but they're hard to find online. It sucks that It'll be a month before I have cash due to a recent job loss. Think they'll do layway?

Haha... tell me about it... I had been keeping an eye out for one for like 6 months. If that 220 was going, he would've been swimming in my tank already.

Too bad he won't fit in the custom 45... or will he???

There's a guy in the big Regal Angel thread (Michael???) who has had one in an Elos 70 which is 55g, but it was in a large tank before that and was already eating and established. I wouldn't recomend tossing an unestablished Regal in a 45g unless you were within 6mos to a Yr of getting the 220 up.

That was a joke ;)

I'm already sticking 5 tangs in there... I don't want to push it, by adding an angel as well.

Yeah I've ordered from them a few times... corals, clean-up crews, fish... Everything was top notch. They're usually the first place I check when I'm looking for something, and they always seem to be running good specials.

TJ

i have seen that fish on their website for more than two weeks now. Other than the price i have not had the time to research the safety of these guys with sps.

May very well have been... I just happened to run across it yesterday. There's a new item of theirs that I have been watching, and hope to order very soon. ;)

Joe22883 would be the guy to talk too... or Copps... I think I mentioned it to you, but I believe Copps is a speaker that does an Angelfish talk... or someone mentioned it to me that he does.

It seems hit or miss with most angels, but I've heard how well they are fed, and the type of foods they are offered seems to play a big role. I've also heard of introducing them when they are smaller/younger helps as well. Not sure how valid any of the points are, as I wasn't able to find one to purchase when I had the 90... but just some things I remember hearing/seeing/etc...

The Red Sea ones also seem to demand a higher price.

Copps is the man with these. I think he has 4 in his tank. I think that Regals are the most reef safe angel. Special with SPS, But like TJ said, it's 50\50 with any angel. From my studies it seems that if they do end up nipping at coral it will most likely be softies or LPS. They also seem to love zoas.

I just emailed a girlfriend of mine to see if she would front me the $$$ to buy this guy. I promised that I would pay her back when I get back on my feet, and she said not to worry about it and that I could pay her back *off my feet* :bum:. She's ordering it as I type. That's right my fellow reefer addicts. I am officially selling my body to a hot girl to support my reef-er addiction
