FYI - Reef Hot Spot Big Sale

Hey Everyone,

I just called Reef Hot Spot and was told they are having a big sale starting today (I believe, either today or tomorrow) on all corals, $40 or less on ALL. Acropora was one of the ones he mentioned.

Anyways, I just thought I'd pass the info along

Has he gotten any new shipments of coral in within the last week? Otherwise, the collection is still small and growing.

Yeah, I didn't ask about the shipment, I haven't even been inside yet, but I should be going over there today after work too.

OT, but I also went to Medusa yesterday. I liked display tank they have right when you walk in...it was really nice! I'm not sure if I'd buy livestock from them though...I guess we'll see in the future. If it counts for anything, the guy that was working when I went was really nice.

Speaking of Medusa, when I was there last week they were working on a frap/prop tank next to their saltwater livestock tanks. One of the guys there said they're open to swaping frags with customers. Thought I'd contribute to the cause, so picked up a nice baby maxima.

That's pretty cool. I'll probably check them out again this weekend. I didn't get a chance to talk to the guy at Medusa for very long.

As for Reef Hot Spot, Max is a really nice guy. When I went in he asked me what kind of tank I had and I explained to him that I have a 10g Nano and have a 60g I'll be starting when I have some money saved up for equipment. After explaining to him how I was a newbie he was VERY helpful and offered to give me advice any time I wanted to come by.

I definitely recommend anyone in the area to check his shop out. I think they'll probably be the best LFS here on the Westside.

I went there tonight. Reef Hot Spot is a great store and Max really is a cool dude.

All corals are $40 or less. Including some really nice acroporas and fancy colored leathers. He has some really big pieces of Fiji liverock for $4 a pound.

Definitely check out this shop.
