G. Smithii

Hello there, i currently have a 15 gallon aquarium sitting around and am about to begin cycling. I plan on keeping a G. Smithii in it with some LR and macro algae. a problem i have encountered however is that no LFS in my area (southeastern OH) have ever had mantis shrimps, one said he could "probably" order me one but i wasnt sure if it would be smarter and cheaper to just go through an online retailer myself. I checked Bluezoo but was wondering what other retailers you guys have used to bring in your stomatopod buddies. Thanks in advance!

If you are not set on a smithii, try tampa bay aquatics (i think. shoot) they have wenneraes for 50 including shipping

You might be hard pressed to find a smithii locally. I ordered mine from BlueZoo Aquatics. http://www.bluezooaquatics.com/productlist.asp?did=2&cid=84
Just add yourself to the mailing list (if you're not picky, do all the sizes), and as soon as they get one in, they'll notify you. I had my tank cycled, and one morning they sent me an email saying they had a small one in, and I had it ordered within the hour. Their packaging was very nice too.

try ibluewater.com they don't update their website much so you need to call and talk to bob or e-mail him he's very helpfull and knows what hes doing, if you order a smithi from him you will get a smithii amd not just somthing simalar like other online sellers, and bob will send you pics of the achual mantis he has for sale
